Sensory Spectrum is expanding with the opening of the Spectrum Discovery Center North Carolina in early 2009. The Spectrum Discovery Center NC will be part of the North Carolina Research Campus located in Kannapolis, just 30 minutes north of Charlotte. It is designed to mirror the capabilities of the Spectrum Discovery Center in New Jersey, with comparable services and expertise in the areas of product testing, consumer research and consulting. Both of our locations will be have the capabilities for quantitative and qualitative research, trained panels for food and non food evaluations, sinks for health, home and beauty aid product testing, full service commercial kitchens and product preparation areas. Sensory Spectrum consultants will be at both locations insuring research will continue to be uniquely designed to satisfy the varied needs of you, our clients. The new center will offer:
Sensory Spectrum chose the Kannapolis location to be part of the North Carolina Research Campus venture the vision of Mr. David Murdock, who as owner of Dole Foods Company, desires realizing the potential of scientists working in collaboration to maximize the health and welfare of people around the world. The NCRC is to be a world class research center focusing on discoveries in health, nutrition and biotechnology. Collaboration amongst the top universities in North Carolina including Duke University, UNC Chapel Hill, NCS University, UNC Charlotte is planned. Sensory Spectrum will collaborate with the NCRC researchers in understanding sensory response and healthy behavior.
