The Spectrum Discovery Center, New Jersey
The true test of your product is how it performs in actual use by its target audience. The Sensory Spectrum - Spectrum Discovery Center offers a one-of-a-kind resource with a multipurpose testing facility to develop products that meet your company’s specific, sensory and consumer research needs.
The 12,000 square foot testing facility is designed to meet the qualitative and quantitative research needs of consumer product companies. Our facility includes two large multipurpose rooms with viewing capabilities, two focus group suites with viewing and audio video capabilities, which include onsite capture to DVD and web streaming for real time viewing from other locations, a commercial and residential kitchen for all your food preparation needs, 12 sinks and six showers for testing health and beauty aid products, six odor booths and a training room for courses and workshops. Recruiting is managed on site via internet and phone.
Descriptive analysis and discrimination testing are also available to assist you. Learn about your product and gain consumer understanding by utilizing our services through complete hands-on sensory experiences.
Centrally located in northern New Jersey, near NYC, Short Hills, Morristown, this state-of the art facility is 14 miles from Newark Airport and 26 miles from midtown Manhattan.

The Spectrum Discovery Center,
North Carolina
Sensory Spectrum - Spectrum Discovery Center NC is part of the North Carolina Research Campus located in Kannapolis, just 30 minutes north of Charlotte. It is designed to mirror the capabilities of the Sensory Spectrum - Spectrum Discovery Center NJ, with comparable services and expertise. Sensory Spectrum consultants will be at both locations ensuring research will continue to be uniquely designed to satisfy the varied needs of you, our clients.
The 11,000 square foot testing facility is designed to meet your needs for qualitative and quantitative research, trained panels for food and non food evaluations, sinks for health, home and beauty aid product testing.
Our facility includes two focus group suites with viewing and audio video capabilities, a large multipurpose room, a commercial and residential kitchen for all your food preparation needs and 10 sinks for testing health and beauty aid products.

FROM ROUTE 24 WESTBOUND
Exit 8, Summit Avenue. At 1st light turn left crossing over Rt.24. Go to 2nd traffic light (about 1 mile) and turn right onto Springfield Avenue. Follow Springfield Avenue for several miles to 7th traffic light (Amoco Station on corner). Turn left onto south Street. Go to 1st traffic signal, which is Central Avenue; turn right and Sensory Spectrum is on your left, across from Murray Hill Inn. Enter via driveway on left side of building. Sensory Spectrum’s entrance is on the side of the building.
FROM ROUTE 24 EASTBOUND
Follow Route 24 to the Summit exit, which will put you on Summit Avenue. At 1st traffic light turn left onto Morris Avenue. Go to 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Springfield Avenue (Exxon on Corner). Go to 4th traffic light (Amoco Station on corner) and turn left onto South Street. Go to 1st traffic signal, which is Central Avenue; turn right and Sensory Spectrum is on your left, across from Murray Hill Inn. Enter via driveway on left side of building. Sensory Spectrum’s entrance is on the side of the building.
FROM INTERSTATE 78 WESTBOUND
Follow express lanes toward Clinton. Take Exit 43, New Providence/Berkeley Heights. Follow the ramp to the end, which puts you on Diamond Hill Road. Turn right at the second light onto Mountain Avenue. Go to the 3rd light and turn left onto South Street (just past Lucent Technologies). At the next light, turn left onto Central Avenue. Sensory Spectrum is on your left, across from the Murray Hill Inn. Enter via the driveway on the left side of the building. Sensory Spectrum’s entrance is on the side of the building.
FROM INTERSTATE 78 EASTBOUND
Go to Exit 44, New Providence/Berkeley Heights. Follow the ramp to the 1st light and turn left onto Glenside Avenue. Take the next left onto Glenside Road (sign reads New Providence). Go under the highway, follow this road to the 2nd light and turn left onto Central Avenue (Murray Hill Inn on corner). Sensory Spectrum is on your left. Enter via the driveway on the left side of the building. The driveway is just before the entrance to the A&P shopping complex. Sensory Spectrum’s entrance is on the side of the building.
FROM 22 WESTBOUND
Make right immediately after McDonalds on Rt 22 W in Scotch Plains
Make right onto New Providence/Diamond Hill Rd
Make right onto Mountain Ave
Make left onto South St
Make left onto Central

Exit New Providence Road (past Blue Star shopping Center after Sunoco, Exxon and Snuffy's Restaurant). Bear right following signs to New Providence/Berkeley Heights/Rt. 78. Go to 3rd light Mountain Avenue. Turn right onto Mountain Avenue. Go to the 3rd light and turn left onto South Street (New Providence) - just past Lucent Technologies.
